Recently, comic book historian Alan Kistler was among the few people to see the first screening of “Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World”. Good friends with Comics Alliance, they had the opportunity to interview him. Unfortunatly, he couldn’t express his experience electronically due a contract with the film, but he finds a good way to tell me the movie is epic. Go Michael Cera!
ComicsAlliance: So, Alan, you saw “Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World” last night, huh?
Alan Kistler: I saw a nearly-completed cut, the contents of which I cannot discuss due to a non-disclosure agreement I signed, yes.
CA: Can you confirm or deny that it is, in fact, an “epic of epic epicness?”
AK: I cannot technically confirm that, but I will very aggressively say I do not deny it.
CA: Having not read “Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour” yet, do you think Bryan Lee O’Malley fans will be content with the film’s conclusion?
AK: I cannot comment on that. On an unrelated note, I’d like to say that I have experienced no serious feelings of anger or disappointment in any area of my life during this past week, with the exception of when I watched the film “The Last Airbender.” AKA “The Last Exposition.”
CA: That said, do you think you’ll be paying to see the final cut of the film when it arrives in theaters on August 13?
AK: As stated previously, I cannot comment on the film’s contents or how I feel about the film in particular. But it is true that last week I made plans with friends to see this movie in theaters, paying full price, on August 13 and nothing in the past week of my life has given me a reason to alter that decision. It’s also true that there’s a chance I may indeed pay to see the film again in the following week. For no particular reason that I can think of.
