Here’s some more of my studies from Vilppu video studies on anatomy. This section focuses majorly on how the clavicle (collar bone) and scapula (Shoulder blade?) connects together and the way the muscles attaches to them around the rib cage. Ahaha, have to admit it definitely isn’t exactly the most exciting part of drawing the human figure, but learning things like this will ultimately help you with drawing from your with or without reference.
Also gets me pretty amped when I actually understand how the artist I admire shape their character’s bottoms to really emphasis it’s roundness with a underlying sense of muscle pushing their hips into a sexy position.
