Trey Ratcliff’s examination of the Japanese culture through his video, “Heartbeat of Time,” makes for an excellent way to view a culture in action. Memories are made through more strands than just still photos, or moving film, it is between these dimensions that truly makes memories constructive. Trey finds a unique and creative way of showcasing the Japan culture through slow-motion, fast-motion, all the way through using still frames of film to enhance our memories of the beauty across the seas.
