This Sunday on April 17th, we will be driving all the way down to San Antonio TX to be apart of one of the coolest pioneering show of Texas-sneaker culture, Sneaks Up 5. For us here at Loyal K.N.G., we owe it to the Sneaks Up crew for blessing us with the amazing opportunity to be apart of their previous events such as Sneaks Up 4 and the first Texas street-wear event, Stitched Up. With out the support of these amazing folks, we wouldn’t be where we are today as a blooming brand.
Sneaks Up has always been about bringing the community together to enjoy something beautiful. It isn’t about competition, it isn’t about who has the best this or that, Sneaks Up represents a community of friends sharing their time together and enjoying the finer things in life such as hip-hop, street-culture, art, and, of course, sneakers.
To commemorate our awesome relation with the Sneaks Up family, I discussed with Norm Dawson, one of the co-creator of Sneaks Up, about putting together an exclusive shirt collaboration. With the knowledge of knowing how community-driven and family-oriented all the supporters of Sneaks Up are to each other, I decided to mix-mash two of my favorite interests together for the collab design, comic-book heroes and cool sneakers. From the beginning it was a collaboration idea cooked up with a recipe for success. If you’re a fan of comic-book heroes like I am, then taking a quick look at our design will be a fun point and name game. We’re always coming up with creative ways to combine our love of culture and our wit of story-telling through symbolism in our designs, and I believe with this collaboration project we hit the mark!
This shirt will be EXCLUSIVELY sold at Sneaks Up 5 in San Antonio for 30$. These will be SUPER-LIMITED to 50 shirts, so whatever we have left after the show will be sold in our online store. So for who ever that aren’t able to make it out to the event, there may be a chance for you to pick up a part of the Sneaks Up 5 x Loyal K.N.G. history!
