Loyal K.N.G. Gets Snow Day In TEXAS. A Super-Rare Treat for Our Winter Season!

Snow day has finally arrived in Texas, and it’ll marks the first day of snow for 2011. Snow is something of rarity here in TX, winter has always been an extended fall season for us. So once in a while, we get some snow that actually stick or isn’t hail pelting our heads. It’s something of annoyance to some, but, for me, it’s more than welcomed. The night before I barely had any sleep during the entire day, but when it started pouring snow, I skipped my afternoon nap and spent the entire day outside. We shot photos, videos, played in the snow, had snow fights, and slid down hills. It was basically our chance to live “A Christmas Story” for the day, and it was FUN. Seeing snow is such a beautiful sight, it’s a unique gift, there was no way we were going to stay inside all-day for this.

We joined up with a few of our friends to kick it at our city’s local football stadium for some snow-day fun. Here’s Thien, Josh, and Mauricio, chilling out side prepping for all the upcoming snowy activities.

Nisay looking rather cheery even after she slipped off the sled, or in this case, the trash-dumpster lid.

Everybody gathered at the top of the hill to take turn sliding down the hill.

The snow covered field. There’s something so “Friday Night Lights” about this scenery.

Josh crunching on some snow for some snowy refreshment.

Mauricio about to follow suit in the snowy-eating fun.

Nisay about to toss some snow at some poor unsuspecting victim.

SNOW-EXPLOSION!

A shot of Thien earlier in the afternoon before we headed out to the football field for some good fun-times.

Trung chilling in the cold.

In this weather, frozen fingers are inevitable.
