Last Friday was the festive beginnings of Dallas TX’s Anime Fest, so we made sure to come through for the event on the following Saturday. Anime Fest was indeed an enjoyable event, with vibrant cosplayers (costume players), vendors, artists, and other cool workshops spread throughout the Hyatt Regency Hotel. As usual with all of our Dallas visits, we ran into tons of familiar faces from past events such as A-Kon 21 (the anime convention that started the summer season). And with every event we visit, here’s our write-up recap of our A-Fest adventure.
Found Squall of Final Fantasy 8 and some crazy lady with a red Saber… Loyal K.N.G.’s T-Dragom (Thien) is having a tough time carrying the mantle.

We ran into one of our old homies from past events, Jerry! And just like that, Jerry joined the Loyal K.N.G. crew on the A-fest journey.

The cute Tifa cosplayer is Natalie and her sister, Violet, both showing some love to the camera! We’ve met Natalie during our coverage of A-Kon 21 from the passing summer. It was totally good to see her again at A-fest.
Of course Loyal K.N.G.’s Trung had to grab a photo with old acquaintances.
Darth Vader kills Thien. PSYCH! They are sword light-sabers, so it’s all for show.
We also met these two young ladies at A-kon 21! Lookie, they even made a nice gateway for Thien!

Look at who just arrived on to the scene, it’s Pebbles (left girl) and Valerie (right girl)! We met Pebbles first at the Sour Grapes’ We Are 1976 art show, and then we chilled with them once again at the Sour Grapes x Loyal K.N.G. art show! So it was nice to run into them for A-fest, because it was a total ADVENTURE from here on out.
