Longview Texas’ Alleyfest 2010 Brings out Blue Oyster Cult For a Live ROCK CONCERT! GODZILLA x DONT FEAR the REAPER!

Our previous weekend, we headed out to our local town’s annual Alleyfest festival. The festival itself is full of booths filled with a great variety of arts and crafts, clothing, food, turkey legs, pizza, gadgets, toys and all kinds of random tidbits. There’s are ranges of various activities, but the headline of the night was no doubt the live-performance of the legendary rock band, Blue Oyster Cult! I grabbed my camera and headed to the front of the concert to watch this band up-close-and-personal. Their performance in our town was literally a surprise appearance. I only attended the Alleyfest to just hang out with friends and family, but was pleasantly surprised that the band who “needed more cowbells (SNL joke)” was in town. They played various classics for a good 1-2hrs on stage, and it was an incredible night for all the local attendees. This was a big deal, especially for our little town in Longview, Texas.

Check out some of the Alleyfest stuff that I managed to grab below:

Grabbed a quick photo of some of the workers serving up some tasty food to the attendees!

I even ran into one of my good photographer buddy, Tony Gomez of Shoot and Destroy photography!

These are our good friends, Astha (left) and her husband, Anup. They are both incredible artists, and they were showcasing their craft at the Alleyfest!

Some more photos of their incredible work!

This is Charles, he’s an avid and very talented painter. He showed me a photo of a painting he did of his grand-daughter (right), and the reference photo he used (left).

And of course, I had to finish this post off with some of the shots I managed to grab of the band, Blue Oyster Cult!
