What you see above isn’t a shiny orange sun being invaded by little Aliens, but the process of an egg being fertilized your mommy. These photos were taken by Spike Walker, who was one of the winners for the 2009 Wellcome Image Awards. The beauty of Microscopic imagery is just dazzling.
