Doughnut Day Is Today. Yeah, I Didn’t Now Either!

doughnut-day

Did  anyone else today drive around in the morning looking for something to eat, and finding yourself getting a free doughnut at that doughnut place? If not then to bad, but I did and I feel so good I love me a good Doughnut Day.

National Doughnut Day started in 1938 as a fund raiser for the Chicago Salvation Army. Their goal was to help the needy during the Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army “Lassies” of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers behind the front lines in France.

I might go by the same place later and see if they give me another free douhnut. There should be a different person on shift.
