How to Install COD:WAW Mods @ Maps! So Easy, a Cat Could Do It!
Well, due to the abundance of Zombie/Multiplayer mods/maps being released, and the few of you who have been having trouble installing these mods. I’m going to show you guys how to install these maps.
First of all, make sure you have the latest patch installed (1.0.1017). Once installed, go to your COD:WAW “mods” folder. (If you don’t have one, make one in your COD:WAW program folder)
If you have XP, you should find it here:
C:Documents and SettingsYOUR_PROFILELocal SettingsApplication DataActivisionCoDWaWmods
For Vista, it should be here:
C:UsersYOUR_PROFILEAppDataLocalActivisionCoDWaWmods
Next, put the mods you want into that folder (The whole folder for the mod, not the individual files inside the mod you download).
Now open your Singleplayer/Co-op exe. Click the “Mods” tab in the main menu, and launch the map you wish to play.
After that, you can either join a game with others that have the same map/mod, or host your own. When you host one, make a lobby and invite whoever else who has the map/mod. Then go into “game setup” and change the game to Zombie mode. The map should be listed on the bottom right.
For single player games, just type “map” and the name of the map/mod after it. For example “map Nazi_zombi_Anzio”
Additional Note: If you are using a crack for the game, that may be the reason why the mod isn’t working. The crack may not be compatible for mods.

Ahh, that was annoying me.. I could never find the mods folder, lol didn’t know we had to actually make one
It still isn’t detected inside COD:WAW mods tab??????
I updated the guide with images, just in case there was any misinterpretations. Hopefully, this will help clear up some of the problems you may have.
mine says that its,unknown format or damaged what can i do? plz help
Hm, in that case, the mod itself might be corrupted. What mod is it, and did you download it from one of our links?
I did what it says to do but none of the mods show up at all on CoD.
How do I fix that?
i know i followed the instructions correctly, but when i open cod solo/coop there are no mods in the list. i have tried a few zombie mods that i am sure are working mods. plz help
i have some other error something about script see console for details i can see mods in game but cant play it
We are looking into the issue at the moment. We will get back to you, hopefully with a solution, shortly.
Updated the guide just a little again, included a video and replaced the images. Though, getting down to the technicalities. I’m not sure what may be the problem with the mods not appearing, other than if you’re using a crack, ( or pirated o-o;; ) version of the game. Then most likely then not, it is not compatible with the new mods/maps. Mean time, I’ll be trying to fix this little problem (via: google).
hey dude i cant get it to work i followed your directions exactly how you put it on screen step by step and it still doesnt work wtf do i do to get these mods to show up on the screen can you help me out im going nuts mate i have the original its not a copy or anything i just dont no what to do it wont work if you can help it would be great no one els knows wtf to do ……………..

I just come across a map installer, whether this will work for you or not, I can’t say for sure. But currently the following maps are going to be included into the (individual) installers: Badlands, Deadrail, Death, FRUmansion, Incubo ad Anzio, Military HQ, The Last Christmas, Woodlands, Zombie Tunnel, and Zombie Psy. Expected it to be uploaded to the site later today, or tomorrow. Hopefully, this will help fix this problem.
Edit: The installers are now up, please give us your feedback on if it worked for you or not.
thanks a lot for the self installing maps. i followed the steps and dont have a crack, and the mods never worked.

I’ve actually been looking for more, but it seems they are taking a break from making them. Though, if more are ever to come out, you can bet we’ll have them ;D *cough* hopefully *cough*.
Having trouble getting MP maps installed. Some run and some just throw an error message at me each time i try and run em. Could you let me know where and how to install mp maps to try before i upload them to our server?

the installer works for me but i wanted to try the other maps and it wouldnt work!!!! I really want to play western but i cant cuz it wont show up on cod5! I followed all your instructions and put the maps where they should be… may it be a problem that my game is in on a different partition that C: ??? I rly loove zombies so it would be great if you could help me out
Could there be a problem with updating.?…i know for myself i have the latest updates and no mods are showing. Maybe i’ll reinstall the game and try one update at a time along with installed mod
the installers work but i want chinatown i followed the instructions but it wont work

hi i am having issues withsome mods i have up to patch 1.4, my problem is everytime i go to play them its like there is a head blocking the screen how do i fix this i have no idea what to do can some one give me a hand please
For some reason I don’t even have the Activison file in the Application Data! O_o;
Hey, I need help with this installation of these mods. I have them on my computer but there is no “Activision” folder in my Application Data. If anyone else had this problem and fixed it and could share with me how it would be greatly appriciated seeing as I would love to play the map Deadsand. But the self-installers seem to save it to a folder in my Program Files, Activison, CoD:WaW, mods. so if anyone can explain to me what is going on.
Hello I downloaded the self installing map FRUmansion and when I go launch it does it right but when I type /map nazi_zombie_FRUmansion and press enter nothing comes up can someone please help me out. Thanks

I have a no cd patch, will that affect it at all, I cant get this to work… I am quite an experienced PC user and cant figure out the problem, I’ll google it and see what comes up..
You have to download the patch which allows mods to appear in the list. The latest one is best (but it might take a while), or get the v1.1 patch, which wont take as long.
Dude I am a noob, i need help installing a patch. I have no freakin clue how to. Can you post that for me?
are there any working cracks that allow mods? because i have one that apparently doesnt….
guys i put the mod in the mods file but when i m in the game, i check mods and i see nothing…. why???
