Well it seems Hideo Kojima Isn’t out of it yet. Seems he still has his hands tangled in the Metal Gear Solid series, with a upcoming live-action movie (and a possible addition of another game).
During an interview, Kojima stated that the movie was “brewing, and it’s moving very slowly.” In further details, he is planning to continue doing hands-on work on the movie, and possibly another game. It seems the reason for this, is the “challenge” he feels from the potential of what is to come.
Generally, movies that come along with games tend to not do well. Though, if Kojima plans to put his hands in both game and movie, we might actually have something enjoyable for a change.
