This was kind of different…
I thought today’s episode was full of surprises! I was so surprised when Arthur warped near the end and killed Hiro… im glad Hiro’s not dead though! Heroes wouldn’t be heroes with out Hiro!
Man Hiro rocks! I am slightly disappointed that he has regained his memories… It won’t be fun ever again on Heroes. Unless of course Hiro doesn’t take himself to seriouslly.
Please comment on what you think of this:
I believe we can deduce that there can be no more time travel or spatial manipulation if Arthur is actually dead, right? Since Arthur took both Peter’s and Hiro’s powers, an he returned to the ‘present day,’ leaving Hiro’s skeleton 16 years in the past hanging on a flagpole… AND since Sylar did not take powers from Arthur, that leaves the following:
a) Only Sylar who can take powers, and
b) No character who can give powers.
c) Only Arthur can manipulate space/time
Therefore, Arthur cannot be dead, or else the writers would have to contrive another even more unlikely deus ex machina, such as some new character or a new discovery by Suresh Nahasapeemapetilon, and I don’t think even these guys will reach that far.
Well said, Barnje07! Well said! Yep, they’ve certainly written themselves into a pickle now! I can’t wait to disbelieve what’s gonna happen next!
“barnje07″ I will get right back too you, at the moment, I am putting the final touches on the 4th part of this huge review.
barnje07, did you tune out the matt and daphne parts of the show? Or the end, yenno, when they have the formula THAT CAN GIVE POWERS TO ANYONE? Jeeze. They’ll just give someone (Ando) the power to time travel to save Hiro.
And did anyone but me find it retarded that Sylar didn’t kill the haitian? I mean, that guy is probably the biggest threat to Sylar, and he has him at his mercy, apparently unable to use his power to negates Sylar’s, and what does Sylar do? Kill him? Take his power? Kill him and take his power? Nope your wrong, he walks away. Stupid writers.
Hey “barnje07″ I go over the idea whether Arthur is dead or not in my final part of this review here:

Although, it be interesting to see Arthur’s return. I mean what was that whole mess with the Epic line up of Heroes and the such from earlier episodes. Only to have Arthur get taken out by a bullet through the head. Only reminds me that Mcdowell’s Character took a big fist through the head. Same death twice?
Anywho so far nothing I would define as Epic has happen thus far… So maybe the time will come where this will Occur. And if it does, would this mean the return of Arthur? Arthur kind of gave Angela a purpose… He even released her from his mind trap. Gah there is just too much left untied with Arthur for him to stay dead. So we shall see what will happen in the next episode I guess.
“Razask” Super lulz. I seriously didn’t notice this while watching this episode. Man, what you point out is the truth! Why the hell wouldn’t Sylar Kill the Haitian lol. Guessing the writers try to hide that little tidbit. I am assuming the Haitian will have a larger role to play in future episodes. So killing him would deny that idea.
Although, that is a big WTF SYLAR. haha your right, Stupid writers.
Razask, I saw that part of the show, but I don’t recall how or whether they can select the specific power, and I don’t think we’re supposed to accept that the formula will actually work as advertised. Additionally, I’m having some difficulty parsing-out the differences between the Catalyst and the Light; it seems that if the Catalyst could be converted for the formula, then there would at some point in the past be an additional copy somewhere, and possibly even an additional copy of the Catalyst (or Light, or whatever) itself. Thus, I make these points in part to see what is going on in some viewers’ over-rationalizing heads.
and good point, Razask, on the motivations of Sylar. I made this point in a different message group (the users of which are far more entertaining in there reactions and comedic usability). I
forgot how to embed a link, so here’s a cut and paste of a lengthy ‘discussion’ whereby I cause some of them apparent emotional difficulties. I really just wanted to find out what the hell the show was doing, but these posters were too much fun to pass up. (the ‘link’ is page 17, I first posted on page 12, or so)
