Zero no Tsukaima Review! Lets See Harry Potter Tap That, Hot Magicians Galore!

Since the dawn of man, we as humans have always been fascinated by magic.  Whether its old hags with pots (personal favorite), cute gal with a cat, or some dude with a funky scar. There’s always one or two in every lineup. Well now there’s something that has a fetish fitting for anyone!

In this lovely adventure, we follow Louise Françoise de la Bamue le Blanc de la Vallière, and her familiar Saito Hiraga, as they make their way through magic school.

In a nutshell, there are two worlds. The “normal” world (the one with burgers and fries!) and the world with magic. In the “normal” world, Saito so far lived his life where everything is good and jolly until one day he become Louise’s familiar (somewhat like a servant/partner). This was do to the ritual every mage at Louise’s academy had to go through. Though of course, having a human as a familiar is out of the norm, even in this world.

The anime has a mixture of comedic and sexual moments where 90% of the time leads to Saito being beaten with a bang from Louise.  I’ve personally come to the conclusion that Saito eventually became a masochist (if thats good or not, I can’t say).  Even though many of the scenes comes rather immersed in sensual moments, there is no nudity, though it does come rather close (Aw, I know *pats back* you’ll live).

Animation is easy on the eyes, full of vibrant colors, great quality in animation all around.  Though I can imagin some wavering due to the cuter look of the anime.  Other then that, things are very well made, and filled with laughs and “Oh, no he di’int” moments.

The storyline is actually pretty linear, no real twists and turns, but by no means boring. It just lacks in butter in some areas (since predicting what will happen isn’t exactly hard).  The show seems to roll on its way to the next problem at hand, whether its with Saito being “himself”, or the kingdom is in trouble.  They all seem to end with a bang.

All in all, this anime is great for anyone who are ok with a little bit of yelling and beatings.  Other then that, if your into magic this is a great watch.
