Austin Record Convention held by Doug Hanner is notably one of the largest record trade-show in the USA and 2nd in the entire world. Collectors from all over the world gather their record and vinyl collections, some of which date as far back as the 1930’s. It’s an incredible environment for record enthusiasts to show case their rare pop-cultural treasures. Any records from any big-name to obscure cult musicians can be found at the Austin Record Convention. I even caught a collection of brand new Beatles records that were still in it’s plastic wrap casing. A collection sure to stun even the biggest of Beatles fan.
The convention fostered a culture that have been long forgotten by our current generation of MP3 and iTune users. There’s a lot to appreciate about the pureness of sounds, the way music was meant to be listened too, that the old records and vinyls provided for true music enthusiasts.
Of course The Beatles had the biggest showcasing for all the collective exhibitors. There were even even cool toys and puppets like the ones photoed above.
The entire location had about 50,000 square feet of many, many record and vinyl collectors all stationed and representing their love.
Like I said earlier, The Beatles gets lots of love.
