Loyal K.N.G. is officially apart of The Hundreds‘ blog history.
That’s monumental for me. The Hundreds have been one of my biggest influence and role model when it comes to operating my own brand. Of course I was inspired to follow the same formula that Bobby Hundreds made popular, such as utilizing the blogging format to inform others of the lifestyle and journey of the brand, but that’s where our similarities mostly end.
Loyal K.N.G. has always been a brand about culture and knowledge, which is part of the reason why the team and I document all the various cool cultural shows that goes down around Texas and neighboring states. And along with placing the focus on written articles with photographs that I’ve taken, me and my team also document all these events/shows through videos and filming. I feel that video documentation is one of Loyal K.N.G.’s strongest strengths. It’s just a different format that I feel provides a completely fresh experience to folks who want more than just texts and images.
These videos that my team produce (which can be seen on the Loyal K.N.G.’s youtube and vimeo accounts) have helped us connect with many great folks. So it’s definitely an honor for us when we were featured on The Hundreds blog through our video recap (check the videos here) of their tour through Texas ending in Dallas at Index Skateshop.
When we posted up the video, I sent Bobby a tweet about our recap video… and a day later I noticed that the video was getting hits from his youtube account. I checked his account to see why that was the case, and lo-and-behold, Bobby not only watched the video but liked and favorited it.
Then after another day passed, the video ends up on The Hundreds’ blog.
So there you have it, after nearly 60 videos that we’ve produced over the lifespan of the Loyal K.N.G. brand, we finally made it on one of streetwear’s most renown brand’s, The Hundreds, blog.
Here’s our recap video for The Hundreds’ party in Dallas:
