In case y’all missed it, we’ve just dropped the newest Loyal K.N.G. Winter season Lookbook! For this season’s lookbook I took the extra steps to make it that much more unique. And I did this by adding a personal taste to each page of our lookbook. From anime cartoons to 70’s monster flicks, you’ll find a lot in our lookbook that compliment the new designs! This lookbook was creatively challenging, but was fun for that reason. It was a great challenge coming up with the illustrations to fit each photo, but everything ended up perfectly humorous.

In this page, I paid tribute to one of my most favorite Japanese anime film director of all time, Hayao Miyazaki. If you don’t recognize the reference, it’s Totoro from “My Neighbor Tortoro“.
With the design being our “Bad Apple” t-shirt, I had to scheme a fun way to implement an illustration to match. And I decided to weave a nice green monstrous worm eating an apple. If you look closely he even has a leaf on his head. You’ve just been knowledged.
Another favorite photo of mine. When I was examining the photo I knew I wanted to add the iconic Mickey Mouse gloves, but while working I realized it would be extra cool if I made the model resemble our Loyal K.N.G. mascot, Atama! If we ever had a live version of Atama, this would probably be what he would look like.
What can I say, I’m a big Godzilla fan. So it was a no-brainer to do an illustration piece that paid tribute to my Godzilla-love. And with that, King Ghidorah was born chomping on Mauricio (model)’s head.
DOPE. BOY. FRESH. Must I say more?
This page is my personal favorite, the reason being because it makes me laugh. If you notice in the photo, it’s a smokey masked monster tempting our friend with an apple. Now whether the apple is poisonous, forbidden, or full of knowledge, have yet to be known. Regardless, I’m sure the apple taste super-sweet.
If y’all didn’t already catch the reference, it’s the no-face monster from another Miyazaki film, “Spirited Away”. Did y’all catch anything else peculiar in the page? Let me give you a hint… bunny ears. Bwahaha…
The return of the Mickey Mouse gloves, but now accompanied by KAT DAWG companions!
The return of the worm. This time however, I made sure to slice him up where his bloody carcass wasn’t covering our cool designs.
Band! Bang! Bang! Lazer guns don’t kill people, neither does finger guns.
