There will be times where we face the hopeless loss of faith in pursuing our dreams. Strings of issues spring from all area of our work that makes us question our direction, such as when projects come to a stall, ideas aren’t being adequately captured, and the audience’s reaction isn’t as keen as we would like it to be. We have two options to choose from, we either give-up all-together or do everything possible to change the situation.
The easy route is to quit, but what we reap from this choice is the killing of time. Quitting is the destroyer of dreams, effort, and hope. Even when the situation gets tough, the true fighters are never out for the count. Big dreams are attacked in small steps, repeatedly, forever. When we set a vision on a goal or dream, it isn’t for the short-term. We are in it for the journey. Through the struggling troubled times to the few blip of successes, we stick to it.
The hard route is to face the struggle, to let it expand our mind to different ways to look and approach a situation. If it was not for struggle, nothing would ever be innovative, nothing would be improved, and everything would just become mediocre. Change is good, and the winners of our generation will be the champion of change.
“The problem with putting it all on the line… is that it might not work out. No risk, no art. No art, no reward.”
