Life first starts in our mind, and what we see there will be reflected back into the world we live. There’s no easy way to understand the good life unless we’ve been through the bad and the ugly. We can never expect ourselves to see the good in life from birth, unless we know the feeling of pain, suffering, and mourning. These are all human qualities, and we can’t disregard them. Seeing the good in life doesn’t mean we have to disregard the negatives of our lives but to live with it. True strength comes from letting all the hurt and pain go through us and away from us.
To hold those negative feelings in and deny their existence is to take away what makes us human. Restricting the negatives of our lives can be detrimental to our own health. Those negative feelings will compound on top of each other and when we are at our worst… We will be the most hurt. This will lead us into finding solace in bad habits, such as alcohol, drugs, hurting our love ones, and, not to mention, messing up our own lives. It’s easy to fall into temptations when we are lost in a world where we can’t love ourself.
Pain and sadness doesn’t make us weak, these are emotions that teaches us lessons about ourselves… We find out how strong we really are as humans in our darkest hour. If we live to see another day, we are given another chance to breath and make a fresh path with our new given strength. Living the good life isn’t about having the riches and the nicest cars; it’s about understanding what the good life is all about. It’s about letting go, moving on, and bringing peace to ourselves.
We make our lives better by bringing happiness to people, and when we do, we bring happiness to ourselves. What is given-away shall be returned in abundance.
“Life’s good. Once you realize that, it’s good for life.”
