Here’s some studies on the arm I did based of George Bridgman’s “Complete Guide to Drawing from Life” book along side with Andrew Loomis’ “Figure Drawing for All It’s Worth”. The trickiest part about the arm is how the radius and ulna bone react when you turn your wrist.
The upper part of your arm above the elbow is the easy part, they don’t move or twist around to much regardless of what you do, but the muscles under the elbow can go all over the place. So, when I started studying the arm, I tried to understand which muscles connect to which bone, and how the bones move.. I still have a ways to go, but I’m making progress!
