The final post of our Street Jam (Dallas TX) chronicles, read PRT1, PRT2, and PRT3 if you haven’t already.
Street Jam was keeping our attention through the evening with all the hyper-active activities going on, but it wasn’t until our friend, Fur Face Boy, suggested that we should open a booth up at the event, that it got really fun! It never crossed my mind to open up a booth to display and sell our shirts, but it was an ingenious idea, and after literally standing in the same spot for 2 minutes pondering the situation, it was game time. However, we needed a table to display our product on, and we didn’t come to the event prepared to showcase. But after standing in the same spot for another 2 minutes pondering, I decided to set up booth even if it meant us holding shirts in-front of people. Fortunately though, we didn’t have to do that, because as we were walking to my car to get my suitcase, we saw a table outside of a burned house looking ready to be cleaned and used for Loyal K.N.G.
Scrub, scrub, scrub!
Party TIME!
Our first sale from our new friend, Pebbles! She was definitely happy with her Troublesome Tommy tee (store), it was our VERY LAST small of that colorway, and she nabbed it before anyone else could.
This bro totally dug our “Got Brain?” tee from our newly Spring 2010 season drop! So of course he COPPED!
This fine fellow was originally wanting the “Ghostly DOOM!” t-shirt from our Spring 2010 line, but we couldn’t find any of them in size large in my suitcase… Like I said earlier, we didn’t exactly come prepared. But he was happy to pick up a “Craving KNWLDGE” t-shirt instead, and happily said “All these designs are DOPE!” I smiled real big then, and we just had to grab a photo of the brotha!
Oh! But we did have the “Ghostly DOOM!” tee in medium. This guy was quick to COP that joint!
This is our lovely and talented friend (she’s an amazing dancer), Fidget Freedom! She actually drove all the way out from San Antonio to attend this Street Jam event, and y’all want to know the crazy thing about running into Ms. Freedom? We actually met her the week before at the San Antonio Sneaker Palooza event!
My homies Angel (left), who interns for Fur Face Boy, and Dave of Adikt (right) repping some Loyal K.N.G. Spring 2010!
This is my good friend, Joshua Whitten! He’s starting up his own clothing line called “ARS,” and he already has a FULL LINE designed for his brand. I’ve actually gotten the privilege to take a peek at all the designs, and I am IMPRESSED. Josh’s style is creative, witty, professional, and FRESH. Not to mention, his brand’s message is deep and meaningful. To me, it has the potential to be successful, and I can’t wait for him to drop his first line!
Josh is also a huge Loyal K.N.G. supporter, he owns ALL of our designs from old season to this new season. That’s respect and love right there, no doubt about it. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without Josh’s and other loyal fans’ amazing support! Big thanks bro!
And finally, the coup de grace, Fur Face Boy in the FLESH!
Uh oh… Bad news, it’s the dirty Polices coming to poop on our fun party… It’s ridiculous, and we were all having such an amazing time too…
Dirty Coppas! They trying to kick our people out! They trying to tell us to quit living! They trying to make us leave the joint! They ruined a girl’s birthday party (here)! Now that’s unforgivable.
Although the cops were big thorns to our mostly great day, we salvaged the rest of the night hanging with Fur Face Boy, Shogun John, Dave, Angel, Mauricio, and Thien, at the local Hooters in downtown Dallas.
We spent all our time eating great chicken wings, and watching George Saint Pierre beat up Hardy in the UFC fight of the night!
Time to say Peace! That’s the Loyal K.N.G. Street Jam blog finale. It had it’s ups, it’s down, it’s weird, and it’s satisfying end. Until next Saturday for a new story to be told!
If y’all are in the Dallas area, come out and visit us at the Culture Upon Extinction event on April 3rd, 2010!
