This past Saturday the Loyal K.N.G. crew visited the Annual Street Jam event (March 27th, 2010) which had DJ, Bboy-Bgirl battles, BMX, Skateboarding, Battles of the Bands, Graffiti showcase, and tons of other activities for all kinds of street-heads. It was a fun-filled day with many ups, downs, surprises, and weirdness. Some of the highlights of the day was making new friends, and spreading the word on Loyal K.N.G. in fun ways. Some of the surprises was us setting up a little booth to showcase our Spring Season 2010 line among a few Winter season line. And the major downer and weirdness of the day would have to be the barrage of polices breaking through the event and shutting down the place due to some drunk folks tossing beer bottles at a parked Jeep. And as luck would have it, the owner of the Jeep happened to be an undercover cop. Now that y’all have a slight idea of what went down, check out the photos of our new friends!
This dude was LEGIT! He was the main DJ of the event and was killin’ it with the tracks, but what really caught my attention was his radical Bruce Lee “HERO” shirt! I was just awestrucked and asked him where I could grab a shirt for myself from, and he told me that I could purchase it off Bruce Lee’s Official Site!.Give me a few weeks, I’m going to be baller status!
Super cool folks! We had a nice little chat about random tidbits here and there before we decided to do a mini-photoshoot of them.
This dude was real cool too, we had a lot of talk about different shows that were being operated and thrown in Dallas. So who knows, maybe this will lead to more events we can come out too?
This nice lady was planning to have her birthday party thrown during the after party of the Street Jam event, but that was quickly ruined by those aforementioned police crashing the party… True party poopers, I tell ya!
The dude in the back middle is Jesse, who also own his own clothing line called “BlindKolor.” Jesse is a super chill dude with lots of great art to showcase along with his newly released line.
Oh! That’s just my homeboy, Mauricio Lopez, rocking the new Spring 2010 season!
Oh did I mentioned the whole place was covered with graffiti art?
Cool dude!
This cute lady grabbed a photo of us, but we never traded contacts due to the hectic climate and partial A.D.D. I’m illed with. So obviously we returned the favor and grabbed a photo of her! Hopefully, we will meet her again on some future event.
That’s Fur Face Boy’s Booth and these two dudes are Angel (left) and Dave (right). Dave actually met up with us when we visited the event earlier on, but after we ditched the place to grab some classic McDonalds, and returned, our good pal Fur Face Boy finally arrive with his set-up. So Angel and Dave became his temporary interns!
It was a radical event, and it was worth the trip for us to make it out, but the story doesn’t end there… Remember the police situation? Well I’m going to cover that in our next post!
