(A happy camper!)
This weekend was just ridiculous for us at the Loyal K.N.G. crew. We had planned to hit up the Dallas Texas’ All Star Weekend Sneakend event, but we pleasantly got more than what we initially bargained for. We were fortunate enough to hang out we local Dallas brand, Fur Face Boy, and Forth Worth’s Shogun camp, who hosted us throughout the day at Hooters and then even got us VIP passes to the exclusive Nike’s Jordan Expo! Now that’s what’s up. (More about each of these trips will be posted on separate blog posts later)
So back to our actual Sneakend trip, we went out to the convention to just take a peek at what goes on in the street-culture located in the Dallas-area, and just experience the love for sneakers. There were so many different variation, models, and colorways for all the Nike Dunks, Jordans, and Max’s, it just boggles the mind. Attending the event was like hitting up a candy store with a bazillion colorful lollipops, however, I assure you, none of these lollipop value ranged from 100$ to 3,000$ that some of these kicks were valued at.
During the Sneakend event, we met a lot of amazing people, minus some irrelevant locals that seemed to maintain a wack mentality of “hood” and “self-proclaimed elitists status.” The event was fill with famous DJ’s and legendary shoe collectors gathered from around the United States just to show off their knowledge and kicks. Among these famous collectors were big names such as DJ Clark Kent (NYC), DJ Greg Street (Atlanta) & Mayor (NYC). We even met up with famous sneaker vlogger, Franalations, along with Nicekicks.com‘s, Matt Halfhill.
We have so much more to post up about during our February 12th-2010 trip… So wait for that! We will post up some of the photos we took at the event here, so check them out!
Look at all those beautiful Nike Jordan 1’s… If I could get my hand on these… One day, baby, one day.
