Sesame Street is dropping a fresh new reference to the hit television show, Mad Men, in hopes of reaching more of the parents of the children that watches this show. If that’s not the case, then one of the writers are definitely big fans of the show, otherwise I have no idea why on Earth a Mad Men reference would be on a children’s program. Even if the goal was to get a more parent oriented viewership, you would still have to up the adult references, and how would that work for the children viewers? And plus who has time as an adult to watch Sesame Street parody Mad Men when you could just watch Mad Men itself?
