The Marines and Navy are using 1 million dollars on each plane to give it a laser shooter, which I haven’t heard is effective or not. I think they are using some sort of light beam that can be seen in the sky in which lightning bolts will travel to destroy and object. I think this is all majorly useless because all it takes is $50 worth of rubber to be immune to things like this.
the Navy and the Marines have given a company called Applied Electronics about a million dollars to attach lasers onto planes. The weapons would be ultra-short-pulse (USP) lasers, which shoot beams of frequent-pulse light that create a path through the air, via which bolts of electricity can travel toward a target.
