“With every historic empire conquered, a new civilization replaces the old. Along with this newly built empire comes its new infrastructure; politics, religion, and its military. In A/W 2008 the “Spoils of War” collections focused on the political and religious aspects. For the Spring 2009 collection dubbed “The Old Cannot Kill the Young Forever,” the focus is on the last two chapters of this volume; The Civil War and Legio XIII.”
