This is Part 2 Review of Heroes “Fugitives” Episode 16, “Building 26.” Go here for part 1.
-Hiro and Ando finally has a conflict, and it is hard to handle as a fan of these two comical characters. Looks like Hiro is in denial of his usefulness in the advent of his lost powers, while Ando who once was the side-kick, now has special abilities of his own and is beginning to take reign of the spotlight. But once again, Ando is following Claire’s footstep in revealing his ability mindlessly. At least Ando had a phone that depicted the future instead of a text message from some random dude called “Rebel.” This is going to be interesting to see Ando and Hiro progress as they fight for the spotlight, and to the eventual death of Hiro. Or is it?
-Err… So Ando goes into a room about 10 feet away from their seat. Ando gets hit on the head with a pan, Hiro comes into the room with a loaf of bread and Ando dissappears out of sight. How does this happen with out Hiro not noticing? Maybe there’s an exit door in that room. Anyway back to the subject at hand, Hiro with a loaf of bread? Totally hilarious.
-Luke and Sylar goes into a coffee shop to have a little one on one chat about the usage of abilities, though not the best advice seeing how it is coming straight from a serial killer’s mouth. It’s also quite strange to see Sylar pouring himself out to this little kid, it just seems so sudden. Then not even minutes after this heart to heart conversation, the army come busting through, which leads to a pretty alright scene where Sylar does his thing, albeit not as cool as the first episode where he went all Magneto on everyone.
-Nathan sub-plot was pretty generic and I won’t summarize what has happened thus far, but one particular thing that erked me was the Tracy Strauss escape scene. What the hell was she thinking? She is surrounded and she literally kills a man right infront of the woman that was going to end all operation to Nathan evil plan. Either way she was going to get stunned and placed back into that gruesome prison. Had she been more discrete about her powers for a bit longer maybe Nathan entire nazi-ism may of been stalled.
-Syler is one badass hero. Dude straight up saved Luke, guessed that one on one talk was really from the heart. This brought mega-tears to my eyes.
-Noah gets knocked out by team Parkman Version 2.0 (Instead of Ando and Daphne, it’s Peter and Suresh). Well this is gonna be interesting. Since I missed writing the review for last week episode, I will say what needs to be said here. Daphne, you shouldn’t of friggin passed away the way you did. It’s straight bullcrap. Now I’m done.
In conclusion, this episode had a lot of sub-plot run through. A lot of things are moving a long, although there are still quite a lot of things that continues to plague Heroes from being a great series. Well that’s it for this week review and commentary! Hope you guys enjoyed, see you next week!
