REMINDER this is the 2nd Pt. Review of “Dual.” Read the previous/next parts here:
We are now taken back to our favorite three stooges, Matt, Daphne, and the almighty Ando, as they waltz into Suresh’s old office (AKA Mendez’s old crack house). As usual the three stooges are trying to find Suresh as a way to hopefully finding out how to save Hiro from the past, but all of this is cut short due to Matt’s brilliantly obvious statement, that Suresh isn’t in his raggedy office. So our good ole Speedster, Daphne, saves the day with out any hesitation and runs all the way to Pinehearst, and right as Suresh injects himself with the Super Power Serum, steals the serum from right under his face. Poor Suresh, once again he just keeps getting screwed out on life. So after Daphne returns, she gives the serum to Ando. Of course, this doesn’t go without Matt popping his nose in, becoming the oblivious little annoying angel of the group’s conscious. Matt begins yapping away regarding the dire consequences that Ando could face, such as turning into a bug, if he takes the serum. This all becomes pretty moronic, if you think back to all the more retarded stunts Matt has done through the series. For a quick run through he ate doo-doo drug given by Safari dude, started believing Mr. Turtle had all the answers to his problems, and got corns thrown at him because he lacked balls. Yes, Matt, your nuts. Fortunately, we have Daphne to bring Matt back to his illogical (did this on purpose, because Heroes does that to people) senses! The moment has now come for Ando to inject himself (Woo! Ando gets power? The end of the world as we know it!), but the poor dude faints after he pokes himself.
As this is all happening, Peter is confronting Suresh in the laboratory at Pinehearst. Peter is pointing his gun at Suresh and telling him not to inject himself with the serum (Though he won’t because Daphne stole the serum, Lulz). Seriously, Suresh is like the Kenny of South Park; instead of getting killed, Suresh continuously gets into hilariously timed situations that keeps him from achieving any of his goals (loller-copter). After Suresh gets his serum swiped, he goes all man-crazy on Peter. Luckily for Peter though, Flint and Knox drop in to help him out, which begs the question as to how Flint came back from the dead. I’m confident that he was pretty dead when Suresh pounded his face open. Geez, if anybody can give me an idea as to how this guy came back that would be great. (Maybe the graphic novels explain?) As Flint keeps Suresh all tied up, Knoxs goes after Nathan, and Peter goes off to destroy all the Super Power Serums.
Now we are returned back to the point where Nathan wakes up from being sissy punched by Peter. The Marine soldier, who was injected with the formula in the last episode, enters to help assist Nathan up. Sadly this poor smuck gets Kenny-ed by Knox. Once again, Heroes’ writers keep introducing short-lived characters and knocking them out… What was the point of showing him go all Hulk-ish last episode? After all, wasn’t that the cliff-hanger that made us believe that there would be more to him then meets the eyes? No. What the viewers should learn by now is that the cliff-hanger means nothing at all. Curse you writers for making us viewers not give a flip about any characters any more! It’s still weird how Knox kills the marine though. If the marine had super strength, it would make logical sense that his muscles were denser and stronger in some form to allow the super strength to occur (Think back to Spider-man, the before and after of Tobey Macguire). Which means that his neck muscle would be strong too! Gah. My brain hurts trying to make sense of all this. Now back to Knox as he confronts Nathan. Nathan tries to play it cool by acting like he isn’t afraid, when we all know he is. After a little more useless chatting Knox decides to end Nathan’s career, but sadly Tracy Strauss gets in the way and kills him. What a swell way for another supporting character to leave the show, being sucker freezed from behind and breaking into shattered ice pieces. Luckily for us Nathan returns the favor to Tracey by firing her. Yay! Finally she’s out of the picture forever! *Do’h I forgot about the ending where she’s driving off with Suresh.* Ali Larter’s character has no point in the show and it’s a pain to watch her scenes knowing that it will have no impact on the show at all.
