Heroes s3 e12 “Our Father” Review Pt.3 of 4; Hiro is Lost In SPACE! Wait I mean TIME!

REMINDER this is the 3rd Review of “Our Father.” Read the previous/next parts here:

Part 1, Part 2Part 4

We are now taken to the scenes with Ando, Matt, and Daphne. They are all searching for the Messenger Boy who has the coveted final 9th Wonders draft comic. Fortunately for them, they have Daphne on their team, which mean getting to places are a cinch. Although it does itch my mind, as to how Daphne can carry Matt and Ando at the same time while running those top speeds. In a logical point of view, Daphne shouldn’t be able to do this. Unless super speeds allow you to gain extra strength I guess. Guess this whole issue is just another one of those “magical attribute” that Heroes tend to transparently rely on when such things can’t make any logical sense.

Evidently, for the crew, they do end up finding a chubby fellow who happens to have the holy grail of all comics. The dude at first tried denying the existent of such 9th Wonder comic, but our good ole pal Matt Parkman is on the job. One of the most hilarious thing about Matt Parkman (Beside dying on Lost Pilot episode) is that when he reads minds, he does this awkward head tilt thing. I can’t imagine how weird it would be for the person to be in the receiving end of this retarded-ness.  So Matt reveals the true intentions of the Chubby Dude, and well, the dude just runs off on his bike with the final 9th Wonders. I figure Matt could of been a total douche and just brain-rape him into just straight up giving him the 9th Wonder, at least this would of saved a lot of time. But, no this didn’t happen. So we have our little Speedster Daphne dash off to catch the fool, and she does. This has been irking me also, once the Chubby Dude got knocked off his bike by Daphne, his reaction to her powers were less then believable. I mean, come on now! If I saw a chick that could run at the speed of light, I’d totally freak the crap out, and by freak, I actually mean begging to hang around with them. Real-life super heroes are awesome! Afterward, the only thing Chubby Dude did after being obstructed by Daphne was to just give up his prized possession.

The next scene following this takes place back 16 years ago with Hiro cooking in the kitchen. At first glimpse, it looked like a crack production laboratory. There were all kinds of messes going on, yellow goo and white magical dusts! The perfect ingredients for Waffles! Meanwhile while all of this is happening, Claire is at the young Bennetts still toying with her baby self. Although trouble arises as Noah rears his head in. Claire gets crazy after Noah go all Noah on her, and tells him all about his future relationship with the baby, and how he shouldn’t pick up the phone call from Mr. Sulu. Surprisingly, this came out to be a touching scene, kind of. The only draw back, for me, was that I couldn’t stop thinking about how Claire met past-Noah. It absolutely changed everything. By change everything, I mean the writers are preparing to reboot the whole series due to this event, which would ultimately cause our Heroes to go into another personality change and create a new cause for world destruction! There would be no shortage of weird-ass planets blowing up on random buildings. Who does these things, honestly? Even the Heroes on the show never question these painting’s existence… I hope Heroes at least give a dumb explanation for this, like saying it was all Mendez. How utterly unoriginal. Let’s go back to Claire and Noah. The surprising thing about this meeting is that Noah actually listens to Claire! It’s amazing that it only took a stranger from the future to talk about his relationship with a baby he’s barely known for a couple hours to do it!

Now bringing the spotlight back to Hiro, he has just finished making a horrible mess in the kitchen, which I am confident that Mr. Sulu will fire his retarded little booty. Hiro goes to his mother and gives her waffles, but all of this mess is all tossed aside as Hiro reveals that he is actually Mrs. Sulu‘s son! Which happens to be where Hiro regain his memories again, due to his mother healing powers. I am honestly going to miss 10 year old Hiro now. He pretty much did things right in the show, and continuously made the right steps to getting the problem solved. Rewind back a few episodes we can only remember adult mentality Hiro running around random places and alleys most of the time trying to chase Daphne. Not 10 year old Hiro, dude warps to the comic shop discovers that there’s a final 9th Wonders, convinces Matt to gain some ball-sack and make a move on Daphne,  then warped to the Bennetts and saves Noah, and finally after warping Sylar and Elle to a beach, he warps Claire to the current scenario that we’re at for today’s episode. Can you say total bad-ass? Only took a 10 year old to realize the true potentials of his power, which unfortunately the other Heroes are completely oblivious about using their own powers to make a shake in the series. Anyhow, while Hiro’s adult memories has return, we all get to have Hiro become a lot more serious and less goofy, something I will miss severely. So as we all know now, Hiro is given the Catalyst, but only to find out that this would cause the demise of our Hiro’s MILF mommy.
