The French band, ‘Justice,’ has got me doing all kinds of funky movements with my hands with their track “D.A.N.C.E.” I love the way the lyrics uses phrases like P.Y.T. and A.B.C referencing back to Michael Jackson hit tracks. This song is the type of song that could make a party awkward, but to the understanding ear a dancing mania!

So for today’s song of the day, I decided to share some “Minus The Bear” and their “Get Me Naked 2: Electric Boogaloo” track. I just really love this track because of the amazing melodies derived from the guitar, and not to mention the amazingly relaxing singing. I feel like I could just stick this track on repeat and skate all day without a worry in my mind. Now if that doesn’t make for a good track I don’t know what does. Enjoy.

Rural Alberta Advantage has been on my musical rotation lately, and I thought I share one of my favorite track off their latest album, “Hometown,” entitled “Deadroads.” This song has a very upbeat vibe to it which exerts a happy vibrant vibe to their listeners, and I certainly need more of those feelings in my life. The guitar really add colors to this track, and along with the addictive crooning of  Paul Banwatt, “Deadroads” will ring in your mind for weeks on end.

Here’s a remix that just begs to be listened too! This remix was constructed by Don Diablo between the hip hop giant, Jay-Z, and the indie electro-pop success, Phoenix, in the track “99 Fences.” This track combines, to me, the best of both worlds. I can’t list out the amount of time I’ve had Jay-Z on rotation, nor of Phoenix and their newest album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. I totally get where this track is going, and it’s just wonderful. So take a moment out and chill to some good music.

For today’s serving of musical desserts, we have the hipster-ish track, “Throwin’ Shapes” by Minus the Bear! Who’s going to hate a band that has a name like Minus the friggin’ bear? If anything this only attribute to the great music that they compose! Their music is full of chill and homey vibe. This track has that unique ability to make you feel like going outside to skateboard, ride bikes, and/or tea bag random kids in the neighborhood. Even the dude in the music video can’t help refrain himself from running outside like a insane person with extremely tight shorts. In a sense, he is tea-bagging everyone… Even you, the viewers.

Here’s a nice chill track for you guys to finish this day off. It’s entitled “Honestly” by the Bluesky Blackdeath, and I for one, am totally addicted to this mello-vibe it’s giving off. The slow rhythmic beats and melodies coupled with the calm vocals makes for a enjoyable listen.

Bands of Horses has been a definite favorite band of mine. Their mesmerizing and harmonic vocals paired with the entrancing sounds of the instruments’ melodies makes for an amazing listening experience. And it’s no wonder Columbus, from Zombieland, had this song rocking in the background as he made his move on to the room 406 woman. This track, “Marry Song,” is the perfect song that embodies what it means to be in love. By the way, go watch Zombieland, that movie kicks serious booty. I guarantee you will get many LULZ.
