I just love these kind of tracks. Songs like Swagger Like Us, Good Friday, Out Here Grindin and this one, really get my blood pumping and my heart rate up! It’s the fact that they’re so rap star studded. Different rappers makes for different styles of word play in one song. With a good beat, the laying of the versus by these artist is like eating all your favorite flavors of ice cream at once! The only bad thing about that is the stomach ache you get afterwards. I almost forgot about this song due to the fact that it was released last summer, but the newly released video is like a reminder/wake up call for all the tracks that seem to get forgotten because of over playing and the number of features. Sometimes you just want to hear the mind of one artist at a time rather than the complexity that comes from the minds of rappers like Lupe Fiasco, Big Boi and Wale. Each of the artist do their thing on this track delivering nicely done wordplay to compliment the melodic and chill beat. If you notice they also rock some nice street brand gear from the likes of Obey, Diamond Supply, Crooks & Castles and more. Hearing a good song is one thing but with the visual help of videos, it makes the hearing experience that much more sweeter. So eat up people and enjoy “I’m On”
