The weekend is about to start, and with the final weekend of July nearing, I figured I would drop y’all a bunch of events to check out while you’re out and about!
The first event (flyer posted above) which is actually happening later this evening is my friend’s So-So Topic and Joonbug‘s sponsored event “Hometown Heroes” Concert featuring performances by So-So Topic, Tre Bishop, Dow Jones, Fly Times, Tunk, and many other talented local Dallas performers and artists. The event is starting today, July 28th, at 8pm-12am, and will also be So-So Topic’s Album release! So if you’re in need of some great music and hip-hop fun, I recommend highly to come out and show some love and support to our hustling artists.

Then on July 29th, our good friends of Sour Grapes 13 will be hosting the “Wonder Years” art gallery at the Rising Gallery in Dallas TX! At this event, many of the SG crew members, Carlos, Ricardo, Arturo, Miguel, Eddie, Isaias, and Emily, will be showcasing new works of art, spanning paintings, graffiti pieces, toys and other great art pieces. Sour Grapes’ events are always a fun time, so be sure to spend some time out of your Friday at the “Wonder Years” event!

The Opening Reception will start at 7PM-10PM on July 29th, and will be located at:
Rising Gallery/800 Jackson St./Dallas TX, 75202
And finally on Sunday July 31st, the bi-annual Houston Sneaker Summit event goes down. With this year’s Sneaker Summit being the largest in history of all it’s previous events, this will be a guaranteed fun time! Sneaker enthutiasts from all around the world will be at this show, and now that it is hosted at the Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, there will be enough space for everybody to join the party! There’s an estimate of over 10k attendance this year, and that’s just astronomical! So it goes with out saying that this show is a definite DO-NOT-SLEEP-ON event of the year.
