Cincinnati’s Cincy 2011 Hosted by Alex Meacham! A Sneaker Show Bringing the Best!

We’ve just recently returned from a major road-trip out to Cincinnati, Ohio, to be a part of Cincy, a sneaker show hosted by Alex Meacham of Shining Star Sports. What’s interesting to note about Cincy is that all the proceeds earned are donated to children’s scholarship and funding for extra curricular activities. We’re major supporters of great folks doing charity work that tie-in with street-culture, and Alex does this excellently with his sneaker show, Cincy. Along with creating and hosting sneaker shows and managing his own Sports program, Alex has his hands involved exclusively with Nike in a lot of great sneaker projects. One in particular is the return of the retro Air Jordan 5’s as the new Premio BINs sneaker series drop. Nike collaborated with Alex in respectfully bringing back this legendary retro of the Jordan 5’s in a major way. And for a long time sneaker-head like Alex, this was a chance of a life-time.

I can’t show enough gratitude for Alex for allowing Loyal K.N.G. to be apart of such a great event, such as Cincy. But besides letting us be apart of the show, he accommodated us graciously and kindly for our long travels. Overall, I can’t wait for future Cincy’s, and I’m already anxious to hear and see what Alex has planned for his future collabs with Nike and shows/events.

During my visit for Cincy, I grabbed a bunch of photos of folks we’ve met and sneaker collections showcased at the event. Due to the overwhelming amount of photos I’ve taken, I’ll be splitting the Cincy coverage up into two parts; One for the sneaker collections alone and the second part for all the cool and great folks we’ve met at Cincy.

Catch Part 2 of the Cincy coverage here.
