It’s no secret that the crew here at Loyal K.N.G. are inspired by and big supporters of the comic book super heroes! From Spider-man, Wolverine, Hulk, and the rest of the numerous iconic heroes, these are the super-hero stories that allows the reader to be transported to a world of raging villains and web-slinging heroe(s). Comics have been, for us, one of the quintessential reading selection as a youngster avoiding all the high-school reading material like the plague. The writing brought these hero characters to life, some of which we could even relate with. Each issue told a passing day of a hero’s life and as months passed we traveled that arc with them. And with the great stories being set aside, the complementary art was an inspiration in itself. Picking up a comic book wasn’t just about picking up a regular old book, we were picking up a montage of art that built our imagination in a beautiful way.
To me, comic books allowed me to be a kid, allowed me to dream big, and influenced me to bring something uniquely fun and different through our own work as a brand.
Now you guys may or may not know, but this upcoming Saturday, May 7th, is the official world-wide Free Comic Book day! This basically is a day where you can visit any Comic book store and they’ll hook you up with comic books for FREE! Now that’s definitely a reason worth hitting a random comic book store up!
I’ve been on a comic book purchasing spree the last weekend, and all of which will be shipping out with your future Loyal K.N.G. orders! I feel that one of the things that helped me through my creative life was comic books. And as a show of appreciation for all of you guys who support us, I wanted to share with y’all what essentially is one of the biggest influence for starting our own brand.
Spider-man is my favorite hero of all time. Just a fun fact, but I’m sure most of y’all can relate with me.
